Former “The Hills” star Brody Jenner happily announced the arrival of his first child with Tia Blanco, documenting her challenging 19-hour labor and home birth in a video.
Sharing the joy on Instagram, the new dad introduced his baby daughter, named Honey Raye Jenner, born on Saturday, July 29. Expressing their happiness, he wrote, “Momma and baby are in perfect health. We are so incredibly in love and have been cherishing this precious time together as a family. We want to thank everyone for all the love and support.”
Brody also revealed that they created a video capturing their journey, which included the baby shower, proposal, and the full home birth. This video was shared on their YouTube channel.
In the YouTube video, Brody shared his honest feelings about fatherhood, confessing that he wasn’t sure if it was in his future. He praised Tia as the perfect person for him, expressing that she’s his better half and the most incredible woman he’s ever met.
He continued, “I think the universe kind of does things the way it’s supposed to. She was the perfect person for me. We got pregnant very fast. I know we’ve only been together a year, but she’s the right one and I know that with all my heart.”
The footage offered fans an inside look at the preparations and moments from the past nine months leading up to their family’s new addition.
Brody expressed excitement about being a different kind of father compared to his own upbringing, particularly in relation to his father, Caitlyn Jenner. He acknowledged that he didn’t have the best relationship with Caitlyn (formerly known as Bruce), who wasn’t present during his formative years. Brody is determined to be the best father he can be, aiming for a different and positive experience for his child.
The couple’s engagement took place in June, with Brody proposing to the professional surfer during an event attended by friends and family. The heartfelt proposal was captured on video, where Brody expressed his appreciation for everyone present before getting down on one knee and presenting a diamond ring to Tia.
