“Uorfi Javed in an interview opened up about the abuse she went through as a child at the hands of her father. The actress revealed her dad used to abuse her physically and mentally, and in one of the episodes, she even lost consciousness. That’s not it. Uorfi, who was last seen in Splitsvilla 14 on TV, narrated the ordeal she went through when one of her Facebook profile photos was uploaded to a porn site by someone, making everyone think she is a porn star. She said, “When I was 15, someone uploaded my picture on a porn site, it was a normal picture I had uploaded wearing a tube top on my Facebook profile photo. Someone downloaded and uploaded it on a porn site without morphing it, without anything. Then someone saw it and said ki teri picture porn site par hai. Everyone started blaming me. I was told that I am a porn star. She added that her father too believed it and rather tried to gain sympathy from all this. She was also beaten up for it.
Even my own father said ‘you are a porn star.’ I think my father was trying to gain sympathy from all this telling everyone that porn site people have asked me for Rs 50 lakh, this is what he told the relatives the porn site owners were asking for it that if you want to remove the picture and I was like that is not possible but I kept quiet kyunki mujhe mara ja raha tha, peeta jaa raha tha. I was like I am the victim here and why are you hitting me but they were not ready to believe and said I am a porn star.
The actress was left with no option but to leave her house. She said, “I endured that for two years and it was just too much to take from my relatives and my own father, so one day I just ran away when I was 17. Uorfi began tutoring kids in Lucknow, then shifted base to Delhi for a brief period where she worked in a call centre and post that she came to Mumbai. She auditioned and landed a few roles. She participated in Bigg Boss OTT as well but got evicted in a week.
