Archana Puran Singh took to Instagram on Thursday to share a snapshot of a farewell cake from the set, stating, “Season wrap,” leaving fans shocked and saddened.

Confirming the show’s conclusion in an interview with Pinkvilla, Archana shared, “Yes, we’ve completed shooting for season one of TGIKS; the final episode aired yesterday. It’s been a fantastic journey on the show so far, filled with joy and memorable moments on set.”

Premiering on Netflix on March 30, 2024, TGIKS hosted a stellar lineup of guests, including Ranbir Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, Rohit Sharma, Shreyas Iyer, Diljit Dosanjh, Parineeti Chopra, and Imtiaz Ali. The series also featured Vicky and Sunny Kaushal in a hilarious trip down memory lane, followed by Aamir Khan’s appearance in the latest episode.

Reflecting on the camaraderie among the cast, Kapil Sharma remarked during a press conference, “The Great Indian Kapil Show is a reflection of our real-life friendships and dynamics. Thanks to Netflix, viewers can catch us anytime, anywhere.”

Meanwhile, reports circulating in Zee Hindustan and quoted by DNA India suggested Kapil Sharma allegedly commanded a hefty fee of Rs 26 crore for five episodes, roughly translating to over Rs 5 crores per episode.
