Born on July 5, 1976, Rekha Thapa is a Nepalese film actress, model, and filmmaker. She is one of the most popular and versatile actresses in the Nepali movie industry. She was a top ten finalist for Miss Nepal in 1999. Her debut movie is Chhabiraj Ojha’s Hero. She has worked in around 200 Nepali movies and produced around 8 movies under the movie production house Rekha Entertainment. She has gained popularity because of her glamorous role.
She won the CG Digital Film Awards for Best Actress, and in 2011 she has also won the NEFTA Film Awards for Best Actress.

Actress Thapa was born in Salakpur in the Morang district of Eastern Nepal to father Prem Thapa and mother Saraswoti Thapa. She has 2 brothers and 1 sister. After SLC, she moved to Kathmandu for higher studies. As she had a strong desire to be an actress, she continued to participate in various modeling, beauty pageant & glamorous programs.
She recently inaugurated her foundation for helping poor families and children called Rekha Thapa Foundation in 2013. She adopted 4 children’s and also supported the earthquake victim film journalist. She also made donations for the house rebuild program in Nuwakot and Sindhupalchowk during the earthquake in 2015.
