The film ‘Gadar 2’ has broken the record of ‘KGF 2’. The film earned 13.75 crores in India on Saturday. With this, the total collection of the film has reached 439.95 crores. Along with this, ‘Gadar 2’ has become the third highest grossing Hindi film at the Indian box office.
The film achieved this feat within 16 days of its release. The Hindi version of ‘KGF 2’ had a lifetime collection of Rs 434.70 crore. On the other hand, Ayushmann Khurrana’s film ‘Dream Girl 2’ also earned 14.02 crores on Saturday. The film earned 24.71 crores in two days.
‘Gadar 2’ now faces the challenge of surpassing the collection of ‘Baahubali 2’ (Hindi version) and Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Pathan’. ‘Pathan’ earned 543 crores while the Hindi version of ‘Baahubali 2’ had a lifetime collection of 510 crores.
According to the projection, it is estimated that ‘Gadar 2’ can collect more than 15 crores at the box office on Sunday. If ‘Gadar 2’ could earn 15 crores on Sunday, then to break the record of ‘Baahubali 2’, it would have earned only 60 crores. 100 crores are yet to be earned to reach the record of ‘Pathan’. Even though it has reached its third week, the craze of this film has not decreased. Although this film is running in 4000 screens, its earnings are better than the new films.
Looking at the earnings of ‘Gadar 2’, it seems that Bollywood is back on track. The last three years have not been good for Hindi films. This year the schedule has changed. Pathan and Gadar 2 alone collected around one thousand crores. Ayushmann Khurrana’s ‘Dream Girl 2’ has also earned well at the box office. Shahrukh’s film ‘Jawan’ is releasing next month. If the response is good, the film can easily collect up to 300 crores.
“Gadar 2” is also doing good business abroad. The film grossed more than 572.20 crore worldwide. The film is doing good business in Australia, Germany, America, UK and other countries. Director Anil Sharma said that ‘Gadar 2’ can earn Rs 1000 crore.
