‘The Kapil Sharma Show’, which was closed from the last week of July, is going to return to the small screen only next year. According to people close to the show, Kapil and his team wanted to return by the end of this year after taking a break of only 3 months. However, Kapil’s new project has ruined his plans.
Sources say, “When Kapil decided to take a break from the show, he wanted this break only for 3 months. At that time, Kapil was busy with his international tour. Kapil’s professional commitments were kept in mind. The channel asked him to take a break of 3 months and return to the show in November. But in the meantime, Kapil surprised the producer by signing a new project.
He further said, ‘Kapil has signed a comedy chat show with Netflix which will run for about 3 months. According to Netflix’s agreement, Kapil will not be allowed to be a part of any TV show other than theirs. Keeping Kapil with Netflix in mind, the channel has now thought of returning to the show in March next year. The last episode of ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ was telecast on 23 July 2023.
