Ballon d'Or nominations announced, Ronaldo was not even among 30 people

The list of 30 players for the Ballon d’Or 2023 award has been announced. The list published by France football magazine last night included star players, but Cristiano Ronaldo was not left out. Argentina’s World Cup winner Lionel Messi, who went to an American club, is the main contender in the list of players who play in the European League. But Ronaldo failed to be nominated.

Messi, who won the World Cup last year under his own captaincy, is a contender to win the Ballon d’Or for a record eighth time. The award program will be held on October 30.

In the women’s side, 30 players have been nominated, including Spain’s Aitana Bonmati, who became the European Player of the Year just a few days ago. Spain won the World Cup under Bonmati’s captaincy.
