Kareena Kapoor Khan, wife of Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan, informed police that the intruder who broke into their Bandra apartment became violent during a scuffle but did not steal any of the jewellery left in the open, an official reported on Saturday.
The police recorded Kareena’s statement after the attack, which occurred early Thursday morning at the couple’s 12th-floor residence in the Satguru Sharan building. According to the official, the intruder stabbed Saif Ali Khan, 54, multiple times, including in the neck. The actor was rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery.

In her statement, Kareena described how the attacker turned extremely aggressive during the altercation, stabbing Saif repeatedly. Despite this, the assailant did not take any valuables. Police are yet to record Saif’s account of the incident.
After the attack, Kareena’s sister, actress Karishma Kapoor, took her to her residence in Khar to ensure her safety. Meanwhile, the police have deployed over 30 teams to track the attacker, who remains at large more than 48 hours later.
