Bollywood singer Mika Singh and Rakhi Sawant’s kiss case is in the news again. He approached the Bombay High Court demanding the dismissal of the complaint filed 17 years ago for forcibly kissing Rakhi. In Mika’s petition, it is claimed that the 2006 case can be dismissed as both the accused and the complainant have settled the matter easily.
This petition was fixed for hearing in the division bench of Justices AS Gadkari and PD Naik last Monday. As Rakhi’s lawyer Ayush Pasbola told the court, a letter regarding the cancellation of the FIR was received but it was lost in the registry department of the court. The bench then ordered him to submit a new affidavit within the next week.
At the same time, Mika’s lawyer Falguni Brahmabhat said that this case has been pending for the past 17 years. He said that a case has been filed against the singer but charges are yet to be filed. “Mika Singh and Rakhi Sawant have forgotten that and solved their problems,” he said.
At his birthday party in 2006, Mika kissed Sawant in front of the camera without her consent. He was then arrested on charges of extortion and later released on bail. Now both of them have forgotten this and moved on.
Mika and Rakhi were seen together in Mumbai on Wednesday. Amid the increasing corona infection in India, they stood in the crowd of paparazzi to give an interview without wearing a mask. Not only this, forgetting all past enmities, both hugged and praised each other.
