In a recent interview, Archana Puran Singh shared insights into her role as the permanent guest on the show, as well as the amusing and sometimes awkward requests she receives regarding her famous laughter. She humorously addressed the strange situations where fans ask her to laugh loudly in real life. Archana also spoke candidly about her pay, revealing that she’s comfortable with her earnings in comparison to the rest of the cast. She explained, “These people earn double the money, so they must do the hard work. I’m getting paid to laugh, and they’re getting paid for their hard work.”
Fellow cast member Kiku Sharda was asked if he ever feels frustrated about putting in effort for costumes and performances while Archana gets paid simply for laughing. However, the team shares a great rapport, with Sunil Grover praising Archana’s infectious personality, further boosting the excitement for the new season.
Archana’s laughter has become a trademark of the show, and she mentioned actresses like Deepika Padukone and Kajol, who also laugh openly, though her own stands out due to the frequent opportunities provided by the show. Despite her on-screen persona, she shared the challenges she faces in real life, such as people approaching her in public places and requesting her to laugh loudly for photos. She said, “I don’t laugh alone like a mad person. It’s irritating when people ask me to laugh loudly when I’m out shopping.”
